About this book

Tot the Toad is just like every grouchy kid: he doesn't want to clean up after himself, or go to bed, or do his homework. He hates loud noises, new situations, and anything that throws off his routine. And in the first picture book in this new series, he definitely doesn't want to eat dinner! Relatable to picky kids and annoyed parents alike, this contrarian amphibian will turn even the biggest frowns upside down.

Jim Benton is known for creating lovably grumpy characters like Catwad, Franny K. Stein, and Jamie Kelly (Dear Dumb Diary). Now he's bringing his trademark humor and hilarious illustration to the picture book space!
