Lasky lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her family.

Patricia C. McKissack joins the Royal Diaries family with her book Nzingha, Warrior Queen of Matamba. She first
learned of Nzingha from a promotional poster entitled "Great Kings and
Queens of Africa," produced by Anheuser Busch Brewery, Inc. The brief
biographical note that accompanied the portrait was enough to inspire
McKissack to find out more about the warrior-diplomat. She has written several other award-winning books. She lives and works with her husband in Chesterfield, Missouri.

following Isabel, Jewel of Castilla. Among her historical fiction

Long ago, Carolyn fell in love with the story of Anastasia. She now lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she does a little gardening, a little cooking, and a lot of reading and writing. |
