Duck On a Bike
by David Shannon

One day down on the farm, Duck got a wild idea. "I bet I could ride a bike!" he thought. At first he rode very slowly, and he wobbled a lot, but it was fun!

A duck on a bike?

From Sheep to Horse to Chicken to Goat, everyone in the barnyard has something to say about Duck's zany idea. "Moo-o-o," said Cow. But what she thought was, "A duck on a bike? That's the silliest thing I've ever seen!" "Ma-a-a," said Goat. But what he thought was, "I'd like to eat that bike!" Then, suddenly, a huge crowd of children roars into the barnyard on bikes. And after the children go inside, who do you think rides around the barnyard?

Your Reviews

"I am a reading interventionist and brought this book home for my 18-month old granddaughter about 3 months ago.....SHE LOVES IT.....we read it over and over. The repetetive dialogue, and colorful pictures are really engaging. It is amazing how she can sit on the floor, flip the pages and 'read' the story back to me. to anyone looking for a good book."
