 Download and Printing Help

I'm Ms. Carrington, Emily Elizabeth's teacher, and I can give you expert advice on how to download plug-ins and print pages. I'm quite an expert on shock waves - the kind you download AND the kind Clifford makes when he runs to meet Emily Elizabeth after school!

Shockwave/Flash

Some games on this site use Shockwave or Flash. If you don't have Shockwave/Flash, you can get the FREE download by going to Macromedia's Get Shockwave. Complete download instructions are available there from Macromedia. It takes a few minutes to download and install. Once you install Shockwave/Flash, any activity using these applications should be available for you to play. Many kids' sites use Shockwave/Flash for games. We use Shockwave/Flash for these activities on the Clifford site:

Musical Bones (Shockwave)
The Lonely Lighthouse (Flash)

You can still enjoy many activities on the Clifford site without Shockwave/Flash. Try Exploring the Beach, or Arts & Crafts!

QuickTime
We use QuickTime in the theatre to show sample clips from the TV show and to watch Speckle stories. To download QuickTime for FREE, go to the Apple website and look for the option that says: "Download the free player". It takes a few minutes to download and install, and you will be able to use QuickTime for video and audio content on many other sites.

Printing

Here's a tip on printing: To print a single activity or any portion of a longer page, select the area you want to print with your mouse and then copy and paste the selected text into a Word file. You can easily print it from there or save it for future use.
