Big Changes: "My old neighborhood in New Jersey was mixed black and white, and so was my ballet school and my regular school. But believe it or not, we are one of the few black families in all of Stoneybrook. The Baby-sitters Club has become extremely important to me. Maybe because it's a place where I feel completely accepted, where it truly doesn't matter that I'm black."
Dancing Shoes: "You know how some people seem to be 'born' comedians or artists or athletes? Well, I'm a born dancer. Wait a minute, that sounds conceited. What I mean is, dancing makes me happier than anything else." On the BSC: "The name 'Baby-sitters Club' says everything about us (almost). We're experienced baby-sitters, and we're a club of best friends." |
